The Arctic is dressed in white, gray, black and blobs of green between towering peaks and ice formations. The sunlight’s clarity allows you to look even further than the
eye can see, while the sky and the sea will dress in neon bright colours.

At sea the icebergs break the monotony.
No iceberg seems similar. I was in particular intrigued the icebergs. Throughout thousands of deserted kilometers every single iceberg made a claim of its own existence. As adventurous flowing monuments of beauty and shapes, they transform into vivid narratives only limited by ones own imagination.

With “Arctic Watercolours” I hope to have captured the unparalleled dynamic expressions of the icebergs.

“Arctic Watercolors” is the result of several visits to Greenland from 1999 to 2014.
In west Greenland: Ilulissat, Jakobshavn Fjord, Uummannaq Fjord and Nuussuaq.
